* Permits to hunt Shiras moose in the lower 48 states can be very difficult to draw. Though the odds of drawing a permit to hunt with this outfitter typically run in the 15% to 40% range, they have run as high as 100% in recent years. The deadline to apply is typically in April.

* Though there is some hunting done by road, most are via a wilderness camp requiring a several hour horse ride. Hunters with this outfitter have enjoyed a very high success rate on quality bulls and several have reached the Boone and Crockett minimums. A 40" bull is not out of the question in this area.

* Hunts are guided 1x1 and include all meals, lodging and trophy care.

* Timing of the hunts can be as early as September, but also go as late as November. The bulls will be rutting in the later season.
