Nothing says mountain hunting like the pursuit of a sure-footed Alaskan Mountain goat. These rock hoppers can test the endurance and determination of any big game hunter. The Chugach Mountains of south-central Alaska has a healthy population of trophy quality mountain goats and the outfitter for this hunt operates in the prime location to provide the best opportunity for a successful adventure. He is a licensed and experience pilot as are several of his guides and they are uniquely prepared to transport you and your gear into rough and rugged locals that these goats call home.

Obtaining a permit for this hunt does require that you enter the annual drawing in December each year and the chances of being successfully drawn are tough. However, once a tag is in hand, the chances of taking a trophy quality mountain goat is quite high on this hunt. Most hunters will have more than one stalk opportunity on the goats that inhabit the cliffs and crags in this outfitters hunting area. Even archery hunters have gotten the job done with this outfit.

After arriving in Anchorage, hunters will be picked up and transported to the outfitters base of operation, where depending on time they may spend the the night before being flown into their hunting location. Once in camp, the days will be spent glassing for an approachable billy in the high reaches of these rough mountains. Once a target is found, the hiking and stalk will begin. Additional packers are available to help lighten the load for those needing or wanting that help.
