Over the counter tags make this a hunt that can be booked at any time. No drawing is required for the 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons. A drawing is required for the archery, muzzleloader, 1st and 4th rifle seasons but all can usually be drawn with very few if any points. This hunt is based out of a tent camp at the end of a rough 4x4 road where hunters have the option of hunting out from camp on foot or using horses to access the more remote areas.

A large resident elk population make for great hunting on the earlier seasons and as the snow begins to pile up in the high country and elk begin to move down the mountains, the later seasons only get better.

This outfitter is also able to offer a unique hunting opportunity for bulls that have taken up residence in the agricultural fields around town and are causing damage. Though a landowner/depredation tag program he can hunt these elk as early as July when they are still in velvet and any bull is legal. This is a physically easy hunt as most elk are spotted from the truck and a stalk is planned. Taking a bull elk in velvet is a rare opportunity. The cost of this hunt is the base price plus the cost of the landowner tag.
