It is well known that Sonora Mexico offers some of the best trophy mule deer hunting anywhere. Most of us have heard the stories and seen the photos of bucks with high and wide racks that roam the Mexican desert scrub. If a big desert muley is on your bucket list, there is no better time than the present to get it done.

This outfit is owned and operated by a US citizen from Idaho that spends half of the year south of the border. He has leases on over 100,000 acres of ranch land in the prime mule deer habitat just outside Hermosillo, MX. The area within the borders of these ranches is so vast that there are areas that are hardly ever hunted due to the challenge of accessing them. This gives these bucks a place to hide and grow the trophy quality antlers many dream about.

Most hunters will fly into Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico where they will be met by the Outfitter/Owner. He will assist with any gun import requirements and drive them out to the ranch. It is very reassuring to know that your host and outfitter is an English speaking American citizen. All lodging is included and you will be staying in comfortable ranch houses with electricity, hot/cold running water, showers, beds and a professional chef where all of your needs will be addressed.

Much of the hunting is done via high rack 4-wheel drive trucks though some glassing/spot and stalk and blind hunting options are available. Hunters should be prepared for some long-range shots but it is not uncommon for a buck to be spotted well within rifle range and a quick an accurate shot may be required as well.
