Most international hunters will head down to New Zealand for Red Stag at least once in their hunting career. The antler mass and myriad of crown points on these bulls is very appealing to many hunters. Couple that with it being the off season for big game hunting here in North America and the opportunity to tie into some mammoth sized brown and rainbow trout, it is a difficult adventure to pass-up. This hunt is based in the South Canterbury area of the South Island. It is a small family owned business whose head guide has over 20 years of guiding experience. They run a very personal hands-on operation. Hunters will fly into Auckland New Zealand and then on to Christchurch International Airport where they will be met by their outfitter and guide and transported to their luxurious hunting lodge. This lodge will act as the base for the hunting adventures. Home cooked meals, comfortable beds, and all the modern conveniences are all made available. The hunting area is only a short drive from this base location.

This outfit offers 25,000 acres of free range and 5,000 acres of estate hunting options. The free range hunts will produce bulls up to the 300 range while the estate hunts see bulls in excess of 410 being taken. For hunters prepared for a more physically challenging hunt, a bull tahr can also be added to to their itinerary. Hunts are conducted by 4x4 transportation and spot and stalk methods. Archery hunters are also welcome with this outfitter and they have provided a great success rate throughout the years.
