* Tags for this hunt can be purchased over the counter just prior to your hunt. Hunts take place on the northern end of the Alaskan Peninsula near Iliamna in unit 9 or on the Kenai Peninsula south of Anchorage.
* Brown Bear on the Alaskan Peninsula are are hunted in the spring of even numbered years and in the fall of odd numbered years. They are hunted during the spring only on the Kenai Peninsula. Throughout the two seasons hunters with this outfitter have enjoyed a near 100% success for several years running. It is common to see 8-10 bears throughout a hunt with 2-3 of those being in the 9 foot category.
* Spring hunts typically consist of hunting the beaches, tidal flats and travel corridors watching for bears emerging from hibernation. Fall hunts focus on the salmon streams and bears that are filling up before going down for the winter.
* Due to the plentiful black bear that also inhabit this area of Alaska, hunters have the option of a combo hunt. Black bear can be taken for a $1000 trophy fee.
