CO170DMore Hunts from this outfitter
Hunt Description
Most any unit in Colorado can and has produced a real giant mule deer buck. This area is no different. Bucks scoring better than 190 are taken each year on this hunt with most scoring in the 150-170 range. For the hunter able to pass on the many smaller bucks, a real trophy class deer is possible.
All mule deer tags in Colorado are awarded through the drawings or via landowners. Tags to hunt this area of Colorado are not too difficult to draw requiring only 1-3 points. The later seasons will require a few more.
ATVs and 4x4 are used to access the hunting locations. Glassing and spot and stalk are the typical hunting methods, though sitting travel corridors and water holes are also used on the earlier archery and muzzleloader seasons. Though hunting public land, this hunt has a better than average success rate. The outfitter and guides know the area very well and are able to find deer on all seasons.
Those choosing the fully guided option will stay in a brand new hunting lodge while those choosing the guide only option will choose their own accommodations from the local hotels and B&B's
